A supreme court judge had been arrested for accepting bribery. His son bailed him out.
At home, the judge cried “I spent my whole life to earn respect and this thing has destroyed it in a sec.”
His six year old grandson who was standing beside him asked “Dada ji, Why did you work your whole life for a thing which could be destroyed in a sec.?”

Once there were two friends walking down a road. There came the third one. He asked” Hey hi, what’s up with you two?”
The first guy said “He is frustrating me with his philosophy.”
The second guy retorted “Hey I was just giving you some advice.”
The third guy turned to the second one and said “Let me tell you one thing. Never give somebody any advice unless they ask for it. They won’t understand its value and may call it nonsense.”
“Nonsense,”the second guy rejoined.

Ram was going through a psychological problem. He was unsure about his future because of his bad academics and poor economic condition. He thought he was depressed. So he decided to have a therapy session with a psychologist.
When he told this to his friend who was supposedly very rich, his friend said “You are a fool. Just live in the present. Don’t think about future. Flow with the river. Don’t seek and you will find your destiny. Life is now, here. It’s now or never. If you can’t live in now, you will never be able to live in the future. Enjoy your present to the maximum and forget about the worries of future.”
Suddenly his phone rang. The guy on the phone said “Hello sir, my name is john. Stock market crashed terribly in the morning after the news of bankruptcy of a big firm broke out. Your father has killed himself because he lost all his money and couldn’t bear the pressure. I am sorry. So when are you coming for the funeral?”
He dropped his phone and shrieked” hey wait, Count me in.”

A guy recently got promoted. Some of his friends were sitting on a table having some coffee. He entered into the hall and rushed past them.
One of the friends said” Look, now he can’t even say a hello. That’s what happens once you get promoted.”
The other one said “It’s all about money. Now he makes much more than us. So, this type of behavior is expected.”
” And did you see the expression on his face?” added the third one.
Suddenly their friend came back, took a chair and said “Sorry guys, I was burning down there and I had to pee.”

Dil to bachha hai ji

I was going home on train when I saw a typical bible in the hands of an old man, laughing looking out of the window. It was beautiful. The golden sunshine and the rays spurting from the shower like sluicing down the whole world and taking away the malevolence of the hearts. I felt like a child again who hadn’t bathed for a long time. There was this love I felt for the nature, for this world which I hadn’t felt for quite a while. The old man looked at me smiling again, sensing my perplexity and gave me his bible. I flipped through it, but no word could I find there. I looked at him bemused but his composed appearance forced me to carry on. And finally I saw something written on the last page. It said:We are what we are.
Human beings grow up, their perspective towards life changes. It ripens with time. But one thing remains same. Just stop thinking for once and have a look around. Go outside and feel the touch of the quivering breeze on your skin. It lightens the mood and you just feel something. And this is what it is all about. This feeling never changes. It remains same throughout your life. This sense of awareness, of being, it never changes. Time goes by but the touch, it remains same. You will grow up. And one day you will be like an old castle with nothing but a heart. But even then the touch will stir the strings of your heart in the same way as it did when you were a kid. Maybe this is what is called an illusion of time.

The Truth

“Facts are helpful in solving a problem. DBMS provides you a tool to collect and store those facts. Each and every view you hear from someone is biased in some form.”
Our DBMS professor, H.O.Gupta said this in the first lec. The statement looks so simple yet so complicated if you think a little deep. It is open to so many interpretations, interpretations about the human nature. Human beings are funny creatures. Each and every human being on this earth is unique in his perceptions, the way he looks at different things. And the funny thing is they don’t want to change it unless you prove it wrong with a fact. It is funny because if you don’t see it as funny, you will feel irritated :p. So it is better to feel funny unless you or the other person have the necessary fact to prove one view wrong.

Sometimes I feel a zeal to collect all the facts surrounding this earth to prove my perceptions and I wonder if in this process I would find that some of mine were wrong too. Ah, how I wish to have a book having all the facts about almost everything!

DBMS, I believe then is a great tool, in fact human brain is a great DBMS, we just don’t wanna look into it because we just don’t wanna know the truth as it is said “Truth is bitter, especially when it is about you.”

Mahatma Gandhi once said ” Only the truth can set you free.”

I think I got the meaning now.

I saw children in ragged clothes

Social Work- Brainwashing or A Virtue

How do they make terrorists?
If you have watched blood diamond, you must have an idea.
What they do is they take people who don’t want to think, take advantage of their despair and repeat one thing in their mind again and again and paralyze their mind completely. It is called brainwashing. Drugging is used for increasing the effect.
Now that is the same way to produce an activist.
Though the process of brainwashing is not exactly the same but is being carried out slowly with the help of the media,campaigns and other methods (like politicians etc.). Religion, meaningless hatred are the tools being used for increasing the effect.
Helping the society is a virtue but useless if you are doing it just for fame or under the effect of brainwashing.
Then when should one work for the society?
Is doing charity something great?
Should I work just for the sake of other human beings?
How will I know if I am brainwashed?
Well, it is a well known fact that the motive power of human beings is love or should I say pleasure.
The only thing human beings can do effectively is the thing in which they find love.
What is love?
I think love is just the reflection of yourself in any animate or inanimate thing.
So what I believe is social service as a work should be done only by the people who find themselves in every other human being they meet or can see themselves in the problem being faced by the society.
Like Mahatma Gandhi said “If you don’t find god in the next person you meet, it is a waste of time looking for him further.”
So that should be the only reason for one should work for the society, for his own pleasure, for the sake of his own love.
All other reasons you might have are just brainwashing done by the society, newspapers etc.
And what about charity?
Well, I don’t hold charity as a great virtue, If you can afford it -do it else if you are doing it just for getting some cheap fame, you are just destroying your life for the wrong reasons.

Society Raped

What is the importance of moral values?
Why should there be any rules in the society?
Why should there be any moral code?
Just imagine a hypothetical situation that you are married. Now megan fox comes and asks you to have sex with her. Would you do it? Let’s assume that you will do it. Now will you feel guilty after that? Will you feel that you have betrayed your wife? Now one response is -yes I will and I will never do it again. Second response is who cares, I will feel guilty for one hour and that’s it.
Have you ever thought about the psychology of a rapist? He thinks in the same way. Though you may say that I can never rape somebody but inside you better know that if you can have sex with megan fox there, it is not your moral values but the fear what is stopping you. But fear can’t stop everybody.
Here comes the concept of moral values. A society without moral values is doomed and that is what is happening everywhere now. Just increasing police force is not the solution; the solution is to teach people the moral values they should follow. The day I don’t know has passed or still likely to come but it will come when the whole society is going to rape itself and still won’t give a damn about that.

Illusion

What is an illusion?
When somebody says this world is an illusion, what does he mean by that?
Is this world an illusion?
Or are the people living in REAL WORLD actually not living in an illusion?
It has been said that very few friendships would survive if you are exposed to the truth about you in your friend’s mind.
They say very few marriages would survive if you can know what your partner thinks about you.
They say very few relations would survive if you can understand the building block of your relation.
I think they are right and this is the illusion they are talking about.
If we think deeply why these illusions have been created, the only answer I have in mind is the illusion of favors, illusion of love.
If you think that somebody cares about you, somebody is doing something for you just because of your sake, you are part of that illusion of favors.
Nobody does anything for anyone. It is the most widely spread illusion people living in. Even if they are saying that they feel happy to serve others; they are doing it just for their own satisfaction, their own peace in life. So stop claiming that you are doing it for the sake of others.
What about love then?
Don’t we say that she loves me and she cares for me?
Does it t mean loving someone is an illusion too?
My answer is yes.
Then does it mean true love doesn’t exist.
My answer is no.
What is this mystery?
The explanation is that on this earth a human being can love only himself and nobody else.
And when he finds that the other person he loves is actually no different than him he loves her too.
If you are a person without moral values, you can love only a person without moral values.
And if you are a person with moral values, you can love only a person with the same moral values because you do not love that person but you love yourself there in the form of another human being.
What about the love of your parents?
Well living in an illusion that the other person is just like you is quite a sweet illusion unless you find out the truth.So you can deduce that from here.
Well according to my definition of love, love is unconditional because you don’t require anything to love yourself except yourself of course.
Loving someone because they make you feel important or they make you feel that you mean something to somebody is not love in my view.
Rest is your illusion and if you want to live in that illusion, I can understand because sometimes living in an illusion is far better than living in reality.

A Class In IIT

The sound, the deafening sound of the dreams covered the whole class with its shadows. The teacher was explaining something, pretending like the whole class is listening. Almost all of us except some brave souls were under those dark shadows.
”You, the guy on the last bench, tell me, what is the meaning of this graph?”
I, just returning from my sweet imagination, surprised, wondering what on earth is he talking about, couldn’t answer.
The teacher behaving like he expected that, uttered some motivating words, looked at one brave soul with an expression demanding recognition and said ”Oh! Brave soul! Why don’t you explain this to him?”
The terminator replied, “Aye, Aye captain!”
The teacher happy, satisfied, knowing that he can’t because even he himself can’t properly, said “Good, you are the only one who understand the need of my helpless pretense.”
I, irritated, not able to focus on my dreams again grumbled “Even he is not interested in your graph. Why do these people pretend so much?What if all these things just make me sleep?”
A voice came, arising from the unknown mysterious land “What bad is in there to sleep with your eyes open until you find something to wake you up.”

GNP Class: After the Quiz

“Parteek did well in the quiz. I was not expecting much from him. But he did well” GNP, our system engg. Prof said in his usual tone.
“Oh! Thank you sir, thank you very much!” I said, not much surprised after the jynja’s episode in lab.
“No need of thank you, I like to appreciate hard work” GNP retorted.
“No sir, thank you is must. May be it would create chaos” I chuckled.
GNP smiled and said wittingly “Will you explain it?”
I thought for a second and replied “Chaos makes us individuals, ryte?”
The smile widened but then he said “Aren’t u forgetting something?”
Oh! Yes sir, I know that one can’t ignore the laws of physics and I am trying to follow them but you must not forget something too.
“What’s that?” he asked, confused.
“There are more things in heaven and earth, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.“
GNP was silent but I think there was chaos going on in his mind.
